August Wine Tasting, Tuesday 2 August, 7.30-9pm
The rugged heartland of Spain, the plain of La Mancha, used to claim to be the world’s biggest vineyard and the hot, dry climate that characterises so much of Spain from Andalucia to Rioja is ideally suited to cultivating the vine.
In this tasting we take a broad view of what makes Spanish wine so compelling. From bone dry, salty fino sherry and zingy, citrussy Txakoli from vineyards washed by the Atlantic to the rich reds of Rioja, Emporda and Priorat and of course the much maligned but occasionally brilliant Cava.
All wines will be accompanied by small boards of cheese and charcuterie to share.
Please get in touch if you need any more information.
We look forward to seeing you on the 2nd!
