Wine Tasting on Tuesday 3 August, 7.30-9pm
While we are still confined to dreaming of escape to a blissful Greek island, we thought we should do what we can to set the scene and take a bibulous holiday around some of our favourite Greek wines. With an ancient culture of wine making, it is little surprise that Greece has an embarrassment of riches when it comes to grape varieties and this tasting is all about these local specialities. We start in the islands with stony Assyrtiko before delicately floral Moschofilero from mountainous Mantinea and a unique copper colour Xinomavro rosé that will have wine geeks swooning. Then to the reds with a perfumed, nebbiolo-esque Naoussa and rugged Mavrodaphne followed by an indulgent sweet muscat from the Island of Samos. Byron at the ready and fustanellas freshly pressed for a fabulous line up of our favourite Greek wines! All beverages will be accompanied by small boards of cheese and charcuterie to share.
Please get in touch if you need any more information.
We can’t wait to see you on the 3rd August!
